MEET ANGIE KAM

Violinist Angie Kam is an active chamber musician and soloist, performing regularly in the Seattle area with the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle. As a professional orchestral violinist, she serves as Principal Second Violin of Tacoma City Ballet and is a section violinist with North Corner Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Tacoma. From 2011 to 2019, she held the position of Assistant Principal Second Violin with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to her classical work, Angie has performed with a wide range of major artists, including The Eagles, Andrea Bocelli, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Who, Ramin Djawadi (composer of Game of Thrones), Amy Grant, Il Divo, Idina Menzel, Evanescence, Lindsey Stirling, Sarah Brightman, and Michael Bublé. She is also an active studio recording musician, contributing to film and video game soundtracks.

Angie holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Oregon and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Boston Conservatory.

When she is not performing or teaching, Angie enjoys mountaineering, backcountry skiing, trail running, good food, and spending time with her husband and dog.
