MEET ANGIE KAM

Violinist Angie Kam enjoys playing regular recitals in the Seattle area as a performing chamber musician and soloist with the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle. As a professional orchestral violinist, she is principal second violinist of the Tacoma City Ballet, and a section player in the North Corner Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Tacoma. From 2011 to 2019, she was assistant principal second violinist of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.  Angie has performed with many major pop groups including the Eagles, Andrea Bocelli, the Trans Siberian Orchestra, The Who, Ramin Djalwadi (Game of Thrones composer), Amy Grant,  Il Divo, Idina Menzel, Evanesance, Lindsey Stirling, Sarah Brightman, and Michael Buble.  She is also an active studio recording musician for movies and video games.

Angie has a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Oregon, and a Master’ degree in Violin Performance from the Boston Conservatory.

When she’s not playing, practicing, or teaching, Angie enjoys mountaineering, backcountry skiing, trail running, eating, and spending time with her family (husband and dog).
